Corner Bakery Cafe began in November 1991 in Downtown Chicago as a small company providing loaves of bread to Maggiano's Little Italy. Patrons of Maggiano's wanted to purchase whole loaves of bread over the counter and the bakery quickly capitalized. Initially serving freshly only baked breads, coffees, and espressos, Corner Bakery Cafe now offers homemade sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast items, pastas, kid's menus, and baked sweets. Today, Corner Bakery Cafe operates over 140 locations across the country.
